New Foods

I love that Adelé gets to try so many new foods now days.  This past few weeks she has tried so many and loves getting to eat real solid food!
She had oranges and loved them.
Mac and cheese happen to be her favorite recently.
The picture doesn't show it but she loves raisins.

Family Time

We celebrated Adelé's 9 month birthday with Shawnie and Leimomi and a steak house.
Ad loves to do what we are doing now.  I guess Oley must play too much play station since she loves to play with Oley's controller.

She loves her Daddy, especially in the morning.
Sundays are getting a little more rough.  But she was happy after church!

9 Months

I can't believe it's already been 9 months!  It's crazy that Adelé has now been with us as long as she was with Allison.  She becomes more interactive every day and it's so adorable!  She doesn't "crawl" yet but is getting very good at army crawling.  The other day I went into wake her up becuase we had to be at a young women's basketball game by 10:00 AM.  She was still snoozing so I turned on the light and let her know that it was going to be time to wake up soon.  She looked at me and rolled over.  I still had a few things to get myself ready so I came back in 5 minutes later and woke her up again, she raised her head in her bed made a grunting noise and put her head back under the blankets.  I gave her a couple more minutes and then went in again.  The poor little bug didn't want to get up. . . I fear for her teenage years!  But it was so cute!
Oley has taught her how to make a babbling noise by running her hand over her mouth.  She loves to do it.  She has gotten much better and waving bye to people.
The other fun things that have happened is that she is trying more and more solid food.  She has such a fiery personality I love it!

Snow Day

Snow Day!  When I was younger I remember laying in bed waiting for the radio station to announce that school would be cancelled due to the amount of snow on the ground.  In Idaho that meant there had to be at least a couple feet and it would have had to of been windy so the snow had drifted over the roads.  So when I got a text from Emily on Friday saying school had been cancelled I was baffled.  There was barely enough snow on the ground to make a footprint.
Well it has remained "snowy" all weekend and so I was even more blown away when we got a text this morning that church was cancelled.  What in the world?  But we made the most of our "snow day".  We snuggled on the couch and watched some movies, read lots of books, and took naps.

Grandma Love

Adelé is one of the luckiest babies ever!  Not only does she have 3 of the most loving Grandma's around they are all incredibly talented.  We wanted to include them in her blessing and sealing day and so asked each of them to make part of her outfit for the day.  Kim has knitted her hats and booties for all of her big milestones thus far in her life (announcement of the sex of the baby and while in the delivery room) and we wanted to continue with the tradition.  So we had asked her to knit some booties that Adelé could wear to the temple and at her blessing.   They turned out absolutely adorable!
We also asked Shelbie to make one of her amazing quilts.  We love it!  It's the same design as the one she made us when we were sealed but is specifically for Adelé.  The pictures really don't do it justice.
It's hard to see in the picture but she has put her name along the bottom.
And the Idaho Falls temple is stitched into the rest of the quilt.
Lastly, to keep with tradition we asked my mom to make her a dress.  This wasn't just any dress though, we specifically asked if there was anyway she could just make a smaller version of my wedding dress.  After searching for a pattern that would resemble my wedding dress my mom finally just made up a pattern herself.
My mom amazes me everyday!  Her dress was almost identical to mine.  Unfortunately, trying to get a picture was more of a challenge than I thought it was going to be.

After we tried unsuccessfully to get a full length picture of the dress I had Oley try to hold her up.
When that failed I just laid her down and hoped for the best.  Silly Baby!
Our little bug is blessed beyond measure to have such amazing women to look up to.  We love her Grandmas and couldn't ask for better women in her life!  I am so grateful that they were willing to share their talents with her, I know that these will be mementos that she cherishes for her lifetime.  We love you!

8 Months

Adelé Bug is 8 months!  This past month she mastered the art of army crawling and was big enough to sit in the cart all by herself at the grocery store. She loves to sit in her highchair and feed herself finger foods, especially little pieces of bread.  With her new found mobility she is constantly on the move!

Cuddling with Dinky and Dad is still her favorite nightly ritual.

We let her try oranges and she loved them!

She is still just as happy as can be.  She is talking a lot more now and loves to squeal as she chases the dogs in her walker.  Fun things she has learned to do this month include clapping her hands together, shaking her head even faster back and forth, splashing water in the sink, and is working on her ability to wave bye.  She loves to shove her fingers in your mouth and feel your teeth and compares them to hers.  She has two bottom teeth and her top tooth is breaking it's way through.  We love our little bug!

On The Road Again

Thursday we got ourselves ready to hit the road again.  It was so nice to be able to spend time with our loved ones during the holidays, but let's be honest we were ready to be back home!  Oley wanted to be on the road by noon that really turned into like 4 o'clock.  But when a woman packs the car everything fits!

Marilee wanted some pictures of her boys and family before we left so I made sure we got at least one good one of each of the boys.  Next time we see them they will be so big!

We then stopped by and said our good byes to Shelbie and I really wanted to get a picture with Allison so we stopped by her house too!  I am so glad we did.  We love her!

Once we finally got on the road we were ready to be in Boise.
When we got to Lauralynn and Doug's the kids went crazy!  The girls had so much fun letting Ryker push them around in the clothes basket.

We spent the next day just relaxing with Lauralynn and then went and saw the fountains with Liz and Doug.

The next morning I took some photos for Laur and then we were on the road again.

Little Bug had a really rough ride home.
Once we got here our house was freezing!!
But we made it!  We are so grateful for everyone that came and supported us during our celebrations and that we were able to spend so much time with family!  We can't wait to see everyone again!
