Spring Break ~ Idaho

There are a lot of people that we need to see whenever we make a trip back to Idaho so after we spent a few days in Island Park we also spent a few days in Idaho Falls to spend time with family. Ad loved the keyboard my mom has at her house, she spent the majority of our time at her house dancing to the music.

Ad loved playing on the playground at the school by my mom's house.  We also were able to play at the park with Allison and Lucas later that day.  On Friday we drove back to Boise.  Ad got her first Happy Meal and was not a fan.

Much like I began the trip sick I ended the trip the same way.  I developed an ear infection and so spent the afternoon at the urgent care while everyone else went to Costco. 

On Sunday we drove home.  We hit Baker City and Dinky developed some bad diarrhea.  For the rest of the ride he was either throwing up or needing to use the restroom - the poor dog. 

Once we finally got home we were all so happy to just be home.  Unfortunately, Dinky did not get any better and so we took him to the vet.  Turns out he contracted gardia while we were on our trip.  We are so glad to be home and hopefully will be healthy soon!

Spring Break - Island Park

We started our week long spring break with a stop in Boise the first night.  I was not feeling too well when we got there but figured things would pass with a good nights rest.  Needless to say a good nights rest did not come, I ended up sleeping in the bath tub because it was closer than the bed to the toilet.  I didn't want to ruin everyone's vacation so just toughened up and we headed up to Island Park.  Everyone had a great time while we were there.  We did a lot of swimming, went to the bear and wolf discovery center, and played in the snow.  It was a fun time, but I did seem to pass the bug onto everyone else.

 

We also got to take family pictures with my family.

The New Boss

Thursday morning when Adelé woke up she was not feeling well at all.  She had thrown up a couple times during the night and so I stayed home from work.   Although by 10 she was acting like nothing had happened thankfully.  I had to run into work to run a meeting and so I brought her with me.  She loved being at the office with me and acted like a natural- made me proud.

Since she worked so hard we needed to burn off some stress at the park.

After a hard day of work she rested on the way home and then insisted on watching strawberry while I got everything packed for our trip.

Conk

Last night we were invited to the neighbors surprise birthday party.  Since Oley was not home Adelé and I headed on over.  On the way home we walked back with our next door neighbors.  As we were standing out on the sidewalk talking Adelé was jumping off the curb and then getting back on it.  She has become a star at jumping and really has been working on jumping off of things.  Well on her very last jump of the night her footing went and she fell and conked her head.  I felt awful. 

I am a paranoid parent and so woke her up every hour that night.  The next day she was exhausted, that made me feel even more guilty. Poor bug.   Although the bump healed much more quickly and nicely than I thought it would, thank heavens.

Spring Time

I love this early spring weather.  It has been so nice to get out in the yard and try to fix the moss that is over taking our lawns.  But best of all is just getting to spend some time outside.  This weekend we broke the bikes out and took Adelé for a bike ride.  She was a champ.  We rode about 8 miles had a picnic at a park and then rode back.  She was an all star and loved her helmet. 

Laur made me feel bad that my daughter didn't know what it was like to sit outside the oven and wait for some home baked cookies, so I have been more diligent at making cookies.  Adelé loves helping with the cookie dough.

We have loved having the nice weather and have definitely been taking advantage of it.

Adelé is upset when we have to come in the house and get ready for bed.  Love her pouting face.
