Jump Jump

We have come to the sad realization that our backyard is rather, well boring.  We spend at least 30 minutes to an hour at the park every night playing on the toys, so when we were deciding what we were going to invest in to put in the backyard we didn't feel like we could outdo the park that is around the block.  So we decided on a trampoline.  Once we actually had it in our possession I then had the "what were we thinking?!" thought.  I am so worried Adelé will land funny and paralyze herself or something.
After Oley spent the entire day setting the tramp up in the pouring rain - there really was no going back.

Which is okay because Ad absolutely loves this thing!

Cute Kids

We had to take a photo opportunity with the kids all dressed in their church clothes!  Adelé  loves when her cousins come to visit!

I love the Beach

Adelé loves the beach and what better way to spend time at the beach then with her cousins!  Marilee, Jacob, their boys, Mom and Robyn all came for a quick visit.  The main reason they came was to spend some time at the beach.  Ad was so excited they were coming!
Saturday morning we loaded in the car and headed to West Port.  We all had a great time.

It was a little bit windy but that didn't stop any of us from playing!

Dinky wanted to  be out in the water with everyone, but he forgot the waves were much taller than he was - love this dog!

Adelé loves to pretend she is older than she is!

The reason for their trip was becuase Robyn found out that Abby has cancer and so she has always wanted to bring her to the beach.  Abby loved her time.  Jacob would run out into the ocean with her and they run back.
I am so grateful that we are able to go on this quick weekend trips!  Love our little family!

Meltdowns and Tulips

For the past 3 years we have had good intentions to go up and enjoy the Tulip Festival and every year it's always just a good intention.  This year we made it a reality!  We took Saturday to go up and see the flowers.  Since it has been a warm spring we were worried that we were going to miss them if we didn't go.  Lucky us we arrived right at nap time so Adelé was very irritable.  We started the afternoon with a complete meltdown in the middle of the fields.  She wanted to push the stroller but she was unable to.  So I got to be the mom that let my child scream it out, everyone who walked passed gave me the judging looks.  After a few minutes of the screaming and a short talk about behavior we were good for the rest of the afternoon!
She loved running through the flowers and smelling them.  They were definitely the biggest tulips I have ever seen!

Adelé's Scriptures

Every night we take time to read at least one page of scripture before bed.  Some nights it goes better than others.  Over the past week it has gotten more difficult to keep her sitting still without throwing a tantrum for the 3-5 minutes it takes.  This week was one of those that I was thinking, "why do I even try", until Adelé took the book from me after reading and opened it up.  She proceeded to read to me as she flipped through her pages, "Nephi says hi, Nephi says hi, Nephi says hi." She got to the last page and said "Jesus comes. Amen" and closed the book.
I am so glad that it's sinking in even though most nights it's a struggle.  This little bug amazes me more and more every day!

Easter

Typically we go north to Grandma's house on General Conference weekend but this year since we have all been sick we opted to stay home.  Which was a great choice!  We have been go go go the past few weeks so it was nice just to relax, watch conference, and have a really low key Easter.  Ad caught on quick from the Easter egg hunt she went to in Boise and so was an egg finding champion in her own.
Her favorite part was opening up the eggs to see what was inside.

Emily came over for dinner and dying eggs!  Ad loved coloring the eggs.

The highlight of Ad's day was the lady bug Oley found her.  Ad loves bugs!  Her favorite are lady bugs!
I am so grateful for the opportunity that we have to take an entire weekend to focus on our Savior.  I am grateful for the sacrifice he has made for me in my life.  I am so thankful that Ad knows exactly who Jesus is and points Him out in every pictures she sees of Him.  Having the testimony that we will live again brings me great joy in knowing I will always be with Ad and Oley.   I absolutely love the joy Ad brings into our home and family!
