The Move

Well the big day came and I am so GRATEFUL Laur was here to help me.  I had every intention to have everything mostly done by the time they got here, but it didn't happen.  Laur helped me get the house deep cleaned while Doug and Oley moved our stuff.  The littles even got in on the cleaning.

We were able to get the majority of the house done on Saturday and so Laur and Doug were able to spend the rest of the week vacationing.  Oley and Ad went with them to the zoo, the game farm, and I joined them at Dash Point the day before we all left for Idaho.
Oley was so proud of his clam he dug up with his hands!

I love spending time as a family!
I am so glad that Laur and Doug were able to come help us.  We owe them big time!

So Much To Do

We got accepted to move into the house we applied for so we have 2 weeks to move!  Laur and Doug have offered to come help us move. I want to have the majority of it done before they get here so they can spend some time vacationing.  It's so crazy to think that we will be moving from this park and all these sidewalks.

I never thought the day would come of "eat one noodle and you can get down", yet lucky for us it has come.

With all of the hustle and bustle of moving Ad continues to help me keep smiling and laughing.

It's amazing the things you find when you move.  This was one Dinky's Halloween costume.  A toddler hippo costume!
We move in 3 days....crazy times!

House Searching

Since we did not know where we wanted to live when we first moved here we opted just to rent.  We have wanted to find something a little bit bigger since the first year we have been here but every year that our lease has come up for renewal has not been an opportune time to move.  For example, the first year was the week after Ad joined our family and then the second year we tried to find somewhere else and just couldn't find anything so we took that as a sign we were supposed to stay another year.  Although this year we for sure were going to move.  We let our landlord know and so now we have 4 weeks to find a new house.  I am super stressed.  We spent the entire weekend searching for a new house.
Saturday morning we started with a quick tea party before we headed out.

Ad was such a good sport about having to be in the car all day.
She loved the house with a swing on the front porch.  Unfortunately no one else did.
We found ourselves up by Dash Point park looking at a house.  Neither of us have been to Dash Point and we were feeling somewhat defeated that we still hadn't found anything so we decided to take a little break.

I am so glad we did, we had a blast!  What a fun little beach on the sound.
After spending a few more hours looking we went back home.  Oley called on a house that was a mile and half from our current house.  They were having an open house the next day and so we decided we would go and take a look.  Everything besides the fact we were only moving 2 miles away was perfect!  We love the house so we put in an application with hopes that we will be chosen.  There are a few others that have an application in too.  We should find out in the next couple days.  Since we now have hopefully an end in sight it was time to go for a walk and relax at home.

You would think the fact that we have to move in 3 weeks I would have more of our house packed, but I think I have just been in denial since we don't have anywhere found to move.  Hopefully things work with the one we applied for.

Daddy's Home

If you would have asked me in September how things were going I would have said I never thought the next 9 months would ever end.  Although now looking back these past nine months have flown by.   I am so grateful for the blessings that we have received during these 9 months and that Oley has been able to find a profession he loves!  Ad and I knew this called for celebration.  Since Ad's birthday she loves making cakes for celebrations.  So we kept with tradition and made Oley his own celebration party.
Ad always gets so excited when she hears the garage door open and she knows Dad is coming home.
We are so glad Oley is home for good!  Now we just have to find a new house to move into.

Mom's Work

Ad always loves coming to work with me and I love having a job flexible enough that allows for this to happen on occasion!

Her favorite part about it is being able to color with markers all over big pieces of paper.  This time my colleagues even showed her that the gloves make balloons and she was so excited to be able to get to play with the gloves that are "magic".

After she ate some lunch while I was in a meeting we played outside before we headed home.

She loves water and so we had to stop to sit by the fountain out front.
I can't believe how big she is getting. She doesn't even look like my little baby anymore yet a cute little girl.

So Much Personality

Ad's personality brings me so much joy, patience, and laughter!  She goes 100 miles an hour from the minute she wakes up to the minute she falls asleep, it's constant and I love that about her!  On Sunday I wanted to get some 2 year old pictures taken of her before we went to church.  I had taken her with me to take the neighbor's pictures last week and so she was a pro at it.  I told her we had 5 minutes and she hammed it up for me!

This is the last week that Oley will have to leave us and so I was having a moment.  I am so ready for him to be with us all week long again.  As soon as he gave us our hugs and kisses and walked out the door Ad walked over to the couch where I was laying and she said "it's okay mommy, daddy goes bye bye it will be okay."  She says the sweetest little things and knows just what to say.  I love her!
