Temple Time

Yup!  We slacked again this month and waited until the last minute to get in our monthly temple trip.  I took work off a little early on Wednesday and off we went!  We opted to go in one at a time again which worked well because it gave me time to run while Oley was in the temple.  I am so grateful that we have a temple so close and that I have a husband who is persistent when it comes to getting us there once a month.  I hope that we can instill a love for the temple in Adelé.
Looks are deceiving it just getting ready to rain before we started out on our run.
My little running buddy and I.

This was right before it started to really rain.  But I loved the way the temple looked with the sky, so I made Adelé pose for a picture.
Back in the warm car waiting for dad to finish up.
I can't wait until we are sealed as a family. . . hopefully soon!
 I love the temple!

5 Months

5 Months old and still as cute as can be!  I don't have any height and weight stats becuase we don't go back to the doctor until she is 6 months, but from the way she grows out of clothes we are confident she is still growing just fine!  She is learning more about her surroundings and persists on just scooting on her back in circles rather than actually rolling over, so cute.  She loves her dad and giggles uncontrollably as she tries to mimic all the noises he makes.  Her favorite food so far has been green beans, so devours them.  We gave her peaches for her happy 5 month birthday and this was her reaction.
It didn't get any better from there.  She was not a fan at all!  Maybe they will grow on her.  She still absolutely adores her puppies and is interacting with them more everyday.  I am so glad that the dogs are okay with her pulling on their ears, tails, mouths, and any thing else she can get a hold of.

She is playing with her toys more and more and especially loves the noisy ones.

I just love how she sleeps, she even holds her own bottle occasionally!

I can't believe how fast 5 months has already gone by.

Grandma & Robyn Come

The perks of living close to Grandma and Grandpa is that when people come to visit they are able to see us too!  My mom and Robyn flew in to help Grandma Sheila transition from the hospital back to her house after her hip surgery.  Oley met up with them on Thursday at the airport to have lunch and pick up Robyn.  Adelé was excited to show her grandma her hands!  She loves them.
Robyn came home with Oley and Mom went to Mill Creek with Grandpa.  It was so fun having just Robyn come and stay with us.  On Thursday we went searching for a Halloween costume for Adelé, we actually knew exactly what we wanted but when we got online to order it they were sold out, so we were hoping that the Halloween store would have it.  They didn't. . . bummer.  But that just meant the next day we could stop at the one in Auburn on our way up to Grandma's house.
It was so nice to go shopping with some female company, not that shopping with Oley isn't fun but it is nice to have another female there.  And it was even more great that we found the costume!
Being at Grandma's house without Grandma there was hard, but it was nice to be able to go and visit her in the hospital.  She loved having Adelé there we spent the majority of our afternoon with her visiting with Grandpa.  As we waited for the nurses to assess Grandma we went out to hang in the hall.
Once we went back into the room Adelé was exhausted from all the giggling she had done in the hallway so took a quick power nap before we headed back to Grandma's house.

While getting her ready for bed we remembered that we hadn't taken a Dinky and Baby picture for awhile.  So we made sure to get one in.  It's crazy to look through the pictures and see how much she grows in comparison to Dinky.
Unfortunately, we had to leave early enough Sunday morning so that we could make it to our ward for church. So we said our goodbyes to family and got home just in time.
We tried her Halloween Costume on after I got home from work.  I am so excited for her first Halloween!

Day In the Life

When I woke up this morning mommy came into my room to get me, that's when I knew it was going to be a really good day!  Usually dad comes in to get me and we get to play all day, but when mom does I know she has big plans for my whole day.  We went downstairs and ate some rice cereal.  Dad has taught me this new trick of making funny noises with my tongue when I blow it against my lips, so I made sure mom got to see my new trick!  Whenever I would do it she pretended to be mad from all the cereal all over her face, but I knew she was laughing becuase I was.
My favorite part of the morning is when mom and dad read books to me and then let me have a warm bottle.  Today was no different mom read me my favorite book "Wish Bear" she is a green care bear with a star as a best friend.  I was so tired from all the reading I needed to take a nap so mom could go running.  When I woke up mom was back from her run.
So I laid on dad's favorite chair and watched her do sit-ups.  I know how important working out is to mom so I make sure I laugh whenever she starts to breathe really hard, that way she does more. Once mom was done working out we went upstairs to get ready for the day.  If it were my choice I would stay in my pajamas all day, but mom insists that I put clothes on.  There are some days dad let's me stay in my pajamas until lunch time, those are my favorite days!  If mom found out she probably wouldn't be happy, but that's why dad and I don't let mom know everything that goes on while she is away.
After mom dresses me she always let's me look in my mirror.  She tells me I am a Princess and that Heavenly Father loves me.  She also tells me mom and dad love me and Allison, but I already know that so I just smile and admire how cute I am!
While mom showers, dad and I finally get to play together.  I love dad because he always teaches me new noises to make.  But once I know mom is done in the shower I want to be with her.  Watching mom play with her hair in the big mirror is so fun!  Today she even let me sit in the basket and be with her while she looked at herself in the mirror.  Mirror baby is so funny!

My highchair let's me be in the middle of the kitchen while mom works on things.  I make sure to make lots of noise so she doesn't get lonely while she is cooking.
Sometimes mom just doesn't like to go places without me and tonight was one of those times.  But that's okay becuase I love going with mom, especially when it involves a lot of other people.  Tonight we got to go to a church meeting, she made sure I was dressed to impress - like always.  That's okay though becuase I love all the attention I receive every time.
After having such a busy day being with mom I was exhausted.  I missed dad and my puppies so while mom worked on more church stuff  she asked dad to put me to sleep. Sometimes dad falls asleep before I do, but that's okay I made sure I kept mom's spot warm in bed until she got there. Some days are just busier than others and this was just one of those days!

General Conference

General Conference is one of my favorite "holidays" now days.  It is so relaxing just to be able to take the weekend off and go to Grandma and Grandpa's knowing that I haven't neglected any church duties while I am away for the entire weekend!  This conference was no different.
I had been asked to go to a heart walk on Saturday morning and so on our way up to Mill Creek we stopped in Tacoma to participate in this 5k for work.
After the 5k we told Oley's Aunt we would meet her for breakfast.  By the time we finally got to Mill Creek we had missed the whole first session of conference!

Adelé has become extremely talkative and just laid on the ground and talked the whole time through conference on Sunday.  I don't think anybody could hear over her but Grandma Sheila just loved having her there and listening to her.  She is becoming much more interactive and selective of who she wants to hold her.  Luckily that is me, I love our little bug!

Leaving Grandma and Grandpa's is never fun, and unfortunately Adelé didn't think so either she showed her disdain by screaming the whole ride home.  Our poor little baby hates her car seat and especially hates long car rides.
When we got home on Sunday night she wanted to hold her bottle all by herself.  Makes me so sad how big she is getting.

Cute Bear

I love little Adelé's personality and recently we have seen so much more of it.  She  always has a little grin on her face which makes it so easy to just be the happiest little family ever!
She loves to lay on her mat and just squeal.  She hasn't quite mastered the art of rolling over but she sure does like to kick her feet around.
She gets the biggest grin whenever Lily is around. Sometimes we have to remind her to be soft with the puppies ears, thankfully both of the dogs are good about letting her walk all over them.
Getting a grin out of her is no trouble at all!  She is the happiest little camper!
I don't know why but I absolutely love this picture of her.  We were laying in bed and she was fighting sleep.  She kept looking up to make sure I was still laying on the bed next to her.  She loves to snuggle every night before bed.
She is becoming much more inquisitive.  We had bought a bag of chips (I know probably explains our waist lines) and she just wanted to hold onto it and listen to it crinkle.  I love relearning about the world through her eyes.
Who couldn't fall in love with a face like that? She is absolutely adorable and we love the sweet little personality she brings into our life. We have truly been blessed! It's amazing how much she changes and how quickly she develops just in two weeks.
