Oh the Joys of Moving

I say this every time we move, but this time I hope that I am being more serious, that's the last time we move for a long time!  Yes, there are many positives to moving such as being able to get rid of everything you haven't used in two years and getting to explore a new area, but I don't think on a cost benefit analysis that goes very far.  The lessons learned from this past move are yes the Lord does know us individually and he is going to challenge us, but He doesn't put anything in front of us that we are unable to handle.
As mentioned in my previous post our tenants are moving out in two weeks and so the stress of trying to find new tenants for that place, pay for our move, and get Oley a more suitable job have all been on our minds.  But even with all of these temporary outside forces there is still the comfort and small thought in the back of my head that everything is going to work out.  Just have to pay tithing, go to church, and do what is asked of us and everything will work out.
Doug and Shelbie came to help move us over to the west side this past weekend.  We are so grateful for the support they give us.  Since it was Fathers Day Weekend Dougie wanted to treat himself to the very best so we found a Brazilian BBQ up in Bellevue, about 45 minutes from here.  All I can say is that was A LOT of food!  Oley woke up the next morning and said, "This is the first time I have ever been to a buffet and not felt bad the next day cause I didn't eat enough."  That is the truth he ate more than both of our shares.  It was a great experience, thanks Dougie!

On Sunday Shawnie and Leimomi came over and cooked Hawaiian french toast for breakfast.  Once again I ate way to much, but it definitely was delicious and we will be having that again soon.  Sadly they all left on Sunday and I was left to unpack the house and get ready for Oley's quick return.  Monday I went to my first day of work new employee orientation.  I am really excited for the opportunities that may be had with this company and hope I will be able to prove myself to them.
Since Oley is not here this is what he thinks I am doing with our boxes.

This is what is really happening.

Once I get the house put together I will post pictures, at this point it's not looking promising.  When we came to check in the landlord had literally counted every nail hole in the wall, there were 4.  So until I figure out a way to get decor up there will not be any pictures.
Can't wait for my Oley to get home, I just realized it was about 5 years ago today that this picture was taken.  Gol we look like babies.
But I sure am glad we both followed our dreams and ended up in Coos Bay, the Lord works in mysterious ways!

I Never Woulda Thought

As soon as I got home on Wednesday Oley and I had to head back to Tacoma for meetings that we had on Friday morning.  So on Thursday after Oley got off work we headed over, what a weird trip that was without the dogs (kinda really miss them).  We spent Thursday evening with Oley's Aunt and friend.  Went to a Thai restaurant, while eating they invited us to go to the horse races with them on Saturday, honestly I thought this was a crazy idea. It obviously sparked Oley's interest and he responded before I could even think of a nice way to say no.  But I secretly am glad he did!

So horse racing, never been just saw it on movies and how they bet and what not, oh and had I known they wear amazing clothes like below I totally would have put more effort into getting ready for the races.

So next time we go I now know to get all prettied up, I think it would actually be fun!  Anyway, so I figure I should probably put this out there - it's a good thing I had Oley with me cause I could easily become addicted to this horse race betting.  Thankfully he didn't let us bet on any, but had he I was 2 for 3 in picking the winner of the race, and had we been betting I don't think we would have placed a bet on the third race cause I wasn't 100% confident in my choice.  But from the famous words of Lauralynn, "it's okay we all sin differently", Excellent now I am a sinner!  But I can see how one can become extremely addicted to this becuase I would probably be one of them.

This isn't one that raced, but a pretty horse

Us in front of the pretty horse, like I said I had no idea you were supposed to get all pretty for these things.

Oley thought this guy was going to win, he didn't.

After the horse races we went and spent the night with my Grandparents in Everett.  I am so glad that their house is just so relaxing.  Grandma's leg was bothering her so much so that she wasn't able to walk, Grandpa had to help her around and it makes me sad to think they are aging.  Guess we will get all the time we can with them.
Our tenants in Chubbuck got jobs in another town, so they will be moving out in July.  I told Oley all of this was going to happen at the same time.  With the Lord on our side everything will work out though.
Drove home Sunday, Oley was so excited to have a backseat to the car that he slept in it on the way home, silly kid.  The past two days have just been packing and cleaning like crazy.  We move in 4 days and I am not ready at all!   Guess we will have to be!
Went on my favorite bike ride last night, I am going to miss Spokane.

Love this Ride!

Bye Bye Bug

Well it certainly has been an eventful past couple of weeks.  Once we got back from house hunting I took off to Boise and Idaho Falls, to drop the dogs off until we move.  They don't do well with moving and since Lily was bit early this month we figured it would be the best for them.

Taken with my phone so really blurry, but Dinky jumps into the moving boxes to ensure that he isn't getting left.

As I was driving my poor little bug was not having a good day.  The night before Oley had to fill the radiator with fluid and I made it to Grangville and the radiator light came on blinking red.  So I pulled over and looked inside.  There was no fluid so I turned around went to Grangeville to fill up.  Long story short after praying I would make it up every little incline we made it to Boise. It was so good just to spend a little bit of time there even if it was a little bit.  Lily got to play with Ryker, and I was able to buy a new lens for my camera, and we car shopped.

Ryker loved to snuggle Lily.

The next day I headed to Idaho Falls and prayed my little bug would make it that far.  Once I got there it seemed that all I did all day every day was shop for cars.  Matt was extremely helpful and I am glad that he was willing to waste two of his days with me.  I finally settled on one, and unfortunately I don't even have a picture to post of it up here.  It's a 2010 Red Toyota Camry.  We both really enjoy it.  But my poor little bug is now gone, I am so sad!

The First day I bought the bug!  I was so Happy!

I feel horrible I wasn't able to do anything else while I was there.  I did see Marilee's new home and it is super cute. Went to dinner with the family for Liz's birthday, and had family dinner on Sunday, so I did get to see the family but didn't really get to spend time or do anything with them.  Guess we will just have to make another trip some other time. I had to rush home from my car buying adventures to be back in time for Stake YW Softball.  Fortunately, they had to cancel because of the rain so I didn't miss it.  But all and all it was an extremely busy week.  And we are off to our next week of adventures.
